SPARTANBURG, S.C.-  Converse dropped its 11th straight set match of the season to Erskine on Dig Pink night, 3-0 on Friday night.  Erskine improves to 15-6 on the season and remains unbeaten in league play at 11-0 with the 25-20, 25-19, 25-14 sweep of Converse.  The Valkyries fall to 7-16 on the season and 1-9 in Conference Carolinas play.

Converse hung with Erskine in the first two sets coming from a large deficit to make it close.  In the second set Converse rattled off five straight points with Erskine standing at 24.  The Flying Fleet would get the set point on a Valkyrie blocking error for the two set lead.

Converse's offense struggled again hitting .100 as a unit.  Jordan Robertson (Greenville, S.C.) had two kills on the night along with handing out 15 assists.

Katie Butler (Savannah, Ga.) led the team with six of the team's 19 kills on the night.  Aubrey Crosby (Spartanburg, S.C.) had 13 digs, while Aerial Wheeler (Woodruff, S.C.) had seven digs in limited action.

Converse returns to the court on Saturday against Emmanuel (Ga.).  First serve is at 2pm.
