GAFFNEY, S.C.-- Converse drops Conference Carolina match on the road to rival Limestone, 3-0 on Saturday night.  Another off hitting night allowed the Saints to take the match in straight sets 25-17, 25-23, 25-21.  Converse falls to 6-13 (0-7 CC) while Limestone improves to 7-13 (6-1 CC).

Journee English (Columbia, S.C.) led the way for the Valkyries with double-digit kills (10).  English also contributed two service aces.

Krislyn Moore (Spartanburg, S.C.) posted another double-double on the season dishing out 20 assists and 13 digs.  Aubrey Crosby (Spartanburg, S.C.) continued to add to her dig total racking up 23 digs on the night.

In set one, Converse and Limestone were tied 15-all until Valkyrie miscues allowed the Saints to build momentum going on a 10-2 run to end the set 25-17.

In set two and three, Converse battled but couldn't put the set away falling 25-23 and 25-21 respectively.  Set two was tied at 22-apiece before Limestone scored the final three points.  Again, in set three, things were tied at 21-21 before the Saints marched to a 4-0 run for the set and the match.

Converse continues on its road swing as the Valkyries head to North Greenville Oct 17 and Southern Wesleyan 18.
