SPARTANBURG, SC – Converse College dropped their second game of the season against Newberry College, 62-41 Tuesday November 16th at Tom and Tracy Hannah Gymnasium.

The Valkyries fell behind after the first ten minutes of the game and would not be able to close the gap from then on. The constant offensive production of Helen McKinney and Brittany Brown would be the reason for Newberry's momentum, with 20 and 17 total points, respectively. The boards would be dominated by Leanne Watson with 3 offensive and 8 defensive rebounds.

The Valkyries were lead by junior Brandy Williams (Spartanburg, SC) who has 10 points and 2 steals. Senior Morgan Sacharski (Sussex, WI) added 8 total points and 9 rebounds.

Converse takes the court this weekend in the Mars Hill Tournament with first game tip off against Brevard College at 4:00 PM on Friday, November 19.
