Title: Assistant Volleyball Coach

Erin Courtenay joined the Valkyrie Volleyball staff in February of 2017 as the Assistant Volleyball Coach.

Courtenay comes to Converse after a four year career at Limestone College.  During her career at Limestone as a middle blocker, she produced 245 total blocks.  Courtenay posted 65 solo blocks and 180 assisted blocks. On the offensive side of the floor, she recorded 688 kills and 124 service aces.

Erin was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second team twice.  She was also selected twice to the Conference Carolinas All-Tournament team.  Erin was Limestone's three time best offensive player and team captain her junior and senior seasons.

After playing for the Blue and Gold, Courtenay was a student assistant for the Limestone Men's Volleyball team, as well, as helped out at Upward Stars.

The Charleston, S.C. native graduated from Limestone in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies.  She is currently working as a 3K assistant teacher at Spartanburg Day School while working on her Masters in Early Childhood Educaition with an Elementary add-on.

Erin resides in the Spartanburg area.
