Vollyeyball Surpasses 1,000 Hours of Community Service

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse College athletics department would like to take the time to recognize the volleyball team for surpassing 1,000 hours in community service. The team has helped in numerous events across Sparkle City and has done its part in giving back to the community.

Starting in August up until now the volleyball team has participated in the following events for community service:

AUGUST

  • Foster Care Meeting

SEPTEMBER

  • Reading at Jesse Bobo
  • Reading at Cliffdale Elementary

OCTOBER

  • Miracle League of Spartanburg
  • Halloween Dance at McCarthy Teszler
  • Upward Stars Volleyball tryouts

NOVEMBER

  • Upward Stars Volleyball tryouts
  • Broome High School JV basketball
  • Upward Stars basketball
  • Winter Warmth at First Presbyterian Church
  • Cherokee County Dinners

JANUARY

  • Meals on Wheels
  • Habitat for Humanity
