Converse jumped up on Limestone early in set one, racing out to a quick 5-1 lead. However, the Saints battled back and took their first lead at 7-6. From that point the score was tied five separate occasions, the last being 13-all. Limestone used a pivotal rally to push ahead 17-13 and eventually took the frame 25-22.

After the two teams exchanged the first 14 points of the second set, LC reeled off an 8-3 run to gain a five-point advantage (15-10). That lead grew to as many as eight (22-14) before the Saints took a commanding 2-0 match lead with a 25-19 second set win.

Much like the first set, the Valkyries were the aggressor early on in the third frame, pushing ahead 10-6. Unfortunately, Limestone used another key run, this time 12-7 to take a lead at 18-17 and went on to collect seven of the next eight points to take the frame 25-18 and the match 3-0.

Converse will be back to the court on Tuesday, October 10 as it travels to Central, S.C. to take on Southern Wesleyan University. First serve is scheduled for 7 pm.
