SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Converse Volleyball was lead by seniors Jenna Brock and JaLesa Beaver as the Valkyries defeated Pfeiffer in straight sets, 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-21), in Conference Carolinas action on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Converse's offense was in full attack in the first two sets of the match hitting .269 and .265 with 10 and 13 kills respectively.
Deanna Unger dished out 25 assists with seven digs and four service aces. Senior Jenna Brock hauled in a career-high 13 digs. Kristin Frost recorded a season-high nine digs while Vivica Nogueira posted eight digs.
Converse opened up a 10-3 lead in the set after back-to-back service aces by Deanna Unger. Pfeiffer would soar back to cut the deficit to 12-8 after a Valkyrie miscue.
Alexis Pitts would double up the Falcons at 20-10 after a kill. Another Pitts kill and a Falcon error allowed the Valkyries to cruise to a 25-15 set victory.
Journee English put the Valkyries up early with a kill at 10-5. The Falcons rallied back to cut it to 11-9. English would give the Valkyries some distance in the middle of the set with a kill pushing the lead to 20-14.
Kayla Pettit put the Valkyries within one point of the set with a kill before a Falcon service error handed Converse the 25-16 set win.
Pfeiffer started the set with a 4-1 advantage before Journee English knotted things up at 6-6 with a kill.
Converse would extend their lead to 17-11 after a Tyra Murray kill but the Falcons would not go away quietly. Pfeiffer would cut the deficit to 21-20 before JaLesa Beaver's kill propelled Converse to victory, 25-21.
Converse ends the season on Saturday, November 5 as the Valkyries take on Belmont Abbey on Senior Day. Pregame festivities start at 2:50 pm with the match following at 3pm.
