CENTRAL, S.C. - Converse Volleyball was able to pick up a set against Southern Wesleyan but the Warriors would take the match 3-1 in the Valkyries' final road contest of the season in Conference Carolinas action on Tuesday evening.
Kassie Burkett led the Valkyries on the offensive end with nine kills. Alexis Pitts chipped in with seven kills. Deanna Unger was one dig away from a double-double recording 25 assists and nine digs. Vivica Nogueira tallied a team-high 17 digs in the contest.
The Valkyries dropped the first two sets of the match 25-11 and 25-14 respectively before picking up the 26-24 third set. Converse would fall in the fourth set 25-12.
Converse returns home on November 4-5 as they take on Pfeiffer and Belmont Abbey respectively. First serve on Friday is at 7pm.
