CONWAY, S.C. – The Converse outdoor track and field team put together an impressive performance on Friday and Saturday at the Coastal Carolina Invitational. The Valkyries excelled in many different events, capturing 12 qualifying marks while seven new personal bests were set during the two-day event.
"We had a great meet", said head coach Brandon Morton. "To be able to set 12 qualifying marks for conference means we are going in the right direction. Some kids didn't get to do the event they normally do because of scheduling, so next week at UNC Charlotte I think the marks will improve and we will get more athletes qualified," he concluded.
