Track and Field/Cross Country Participates In Community Service Project

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – In attempts to give back to the community, the Converse College Track and Field/Cross Country teams participated in a community service project on Monday, October 30, 2017.

The group assisted the Department of Social Services by doing a mini-camp throughout the day. The athletes were divided up into groups of 15-20 kids and the team provided activities that promoted running and staying active through many different games.

Head coach Brandon Morton said, "It's always great to give back to the community. The track and field/cross country program gets a chance to show the community that Converse Athletics is about charity and helping others."

So far the track and field/cross country team has totaled more than 25 hours of community service thus far.
