Converse Wraps Up Competition At North Florida

JACKSONVILLE, FLA.- The Converse Track team competed at the UNF Spring Break Invitational over the weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Pole Vault

Kristin Frost finished third overall in the event while breaking the school record previously held by teammate Hannah Asselin.  Frost cleared 9'8 (2.95m) while Asselin cleared 8'8.25 (2.65m).

Discus

Shakura Wesley finished 15th overall with a heave of 109'9 (33.45m).  Jordan Cooksey produced a personal best throw of 90'10 (27.70m).

Triple Jump

Sequoya Davis produced a leap of 33'8 (10.26m) while teammate Dominique Hill jumped 32'5.5 (9.89m).

Shot Put

Shakura Wesley broke the school record in the event with a throw of 33'3 (10.13m).

100m Dash

Deja Attaway ran 13.02.

800m

Lauren Morris posted a time of 2:25.21.

1500m

Jane Macsay posted the fourth best time in program history and a personal best mark with a time of 5:08.92.

5000m

Autumn Stone posted a personal best and second best time in program history with a time of 18:54.07.

UP NEXT

The Valkyries were originally scheduled to compete at the Wofford Relays but due to it's cancellation, Converse will compete at Montreat on April 1.
