Valkyries Post Two School Records At Wofford Relays

SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Converse track and field represented well at the Wofford Terrier Relays in a "home" meet at Spartanburg High School on Saturday.   

Alison Jouan set the school record in the pole vault with a collegiate best mark of 8'. Jouan cleared 7'8.5 during the indoor season.

Jordan Cooksey broke the school record in the hammer throw with a throw of 30.55m (100'2.75").

In the 4x400m relay, the squad comprised of Mikhala Cooper-Robinson, Josie Davis, Elizabeth Noland, and Lauren Morris posted the second best time in program history in the final event of the day finishing sixth overall with a time of 4:12.41.

In the 4x100m relay, the squad finished with a time of 50.35.  Mikhala Cooper-Robinson, Deja Attaway, Josie Davis and Jordan Harding competed in the event.

Mikhala Cooper-Robinson finished 13th overall in the 400m dash with a time of 1:00.13.

Deja Attaway and Jordan Harding posted personal bests in the 100m dash.  Attaway ran 13.06 with Harding right behind with a time of 13.11.

Attaway posted another personal best in the 200m dash with a time of 27.50.

Lauren Morris finished the 1500m in 5:19.26.  Brittany Sandifer ran 5:56.88 in the event.

Josie Davis finished with a time of 16.53 in the 100m hurdles.  Catera Young finished the 400m hurdles in a time of 1:15.34.

In the long jump, Sequoya Davis finished with a mark of 15'10, while teammate Savon Garrett posted a personal best with a mark of 15'9.

The Valkyries will travel to Charlotte, N.C. to participate in a meet hosted by Johnson C. Smith.
