Valkyries Swim Into New Year With Strong Performance

PORT ST. LUCIE, FLA. - The Converse Swim team wrapped up their annual training trip in Florida with a second place finish at the Ed Kennedy Memorial Swim Meet. The meet was a long course meet compared to the traditional short course the Valkyries compete in at home.

The Valkyries finished second overall behind Division I University of Evansville.  Ohio Wesleyan and Oberlin finished behind Converse.

"I'm extremely pleased with the team's effort," commented Head Swim Coach Corey White. "We've been training extremely hard the past few days, going doubles of long course and short course yards with weight training. For the team to get up race like that, sets a great stage heading into the final push of the season."
