Multiple Swimmers Crack the Top 10 All Time Lists On Night One

SAVANNAH, GA. - The Converse swim team finished up the first session of the SCAD Invite on Thursday evening on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

200 Medley Relay

The 'A' relay squad of Laura Ann Dixon, Anna Pettus, Sarah Russell, and Hannah Asselin posted a top-10 all-time finish with a time of 1:53.95, good for tenth overall.

The 'B' relay of Hannah Dickinson, Cassidy Rindge, Hannah Taber, and Ellie Michael broke the two minute barrier with a time of 1:59.83.

500 yd Free

Marianna Markley, Julia Campbell, and Kathy Herman all posted in season bests in the event with Kendall Polk leading the way after posting her fastest collegiate time of 5:40.44.

200 IM

The Valkyries duplicated the results in the 200 IM. Shannon Smith, Cassidy Rindge, Anna Pettus and Laura Ann Dixon all posted in season best times. Rindge, Pettus, and Dixon all now are in the top 10 all time. 

Laura Ann Dixon led the way with a time of 2:12.71, while Anna Pettus finished with a time of 2:15.82.

50 Free

Hannah Asselin led the way in the event for the Valkyries with a time of 25.98. Hannah Taber, Anna Pettus, Ellie Michael, and Hannah Dickson, along with Asselin posted season bests in the event.

800 Free Relay

Session I was capped with the 800 freestyle relay of Laura Ann Dixon, Hannah Asselin, Lisa Studstill, and Sarah Russell posting the fastest time in five years for the event ranking 3rd all time.  The Valkyries finished fifth overall with a time of 8:05.07.

The Valkyries will resume Session II of the SCAD Invite on Friday, December 2.
