Converse Lacrosse Falls To North Greenville

TIGERVILLE, S.C. - The Converse Lacrosse team suffered a 17-7 Conference Carolinas setback at the hands of North Greenville on Wednesday evening.

Aubrie Lauderdale netted a hat-trick with three goals and one assist.  Brittni Jones and Elizabeth Gabriele notched two goals each.  Gabriele dished out one assist.

Victoria Bailey grabbed five ground balls.  Converse was 11-18 on clear attempts.  NGU out produced Converse in the circle with an 18-8 draw control margin.


1st Half:

North Greenville jumped out to an early lead scoring just 32 seconds into the contest.  NGU would tack on two more goals to take a 3-0 advantage.

Aubrie Lauderdale posted the first tally of the contest for Converse at the 22:26 mark of the first half.

Elizabeth Gabriele netted two goals and Brittni Jones added a goal to tie things at 4-all with 12:28 remaining in the first half.

NGU led 8-4 at the break.

2nd Half:

Converse would go scoreless for nearly 30 minutes stemming back to their last goal of the first half.  Trailing 15-4, Aubrie Lauderdale netted her second goal of the contest at the 12:54 mark of the second half.

Brittni Jones netted an unassisted goal to cut the deficit to 15-6.  Aubrie Lauderdale netted her hat-trick goal with 1:04 remaining in the contest as NGU took the 17-7 victory.


Converse hits the road for a Conference Carolinas contest against Mount Olive on April 2.  First draw is at 2pm.
