HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Junior Grace Magera fired a two-day total of 152 (+8) and found herself on the Coker Invitational All-Tournament team as the Converse golf team brought home a fourth place finish on Tuesday afternoon at the Hartsville Country Club. Magera shaved two strokes from her first round total, firing a 3-over, 75 to lead Converse during the 36-hole event.
Tyler Dawson held form during her second 18, finishing with a 79 (+7) to match her opening round score, good enough for 15th place overall. Marisa Daquil Kawabe turned in her best finish of the season, posting a two-round total of 160 (+16) to place in a tie for 18th, while teammate Vienna Winalski ended up in a tie for 29th following her second round of 82 (+10).
Taylor Fisk picked up the pace on her second round, trimming six strokes off her opening 18 performance, posting a respectable 82 (+10).
Erskine and Newberry tied for team honors after both teams scored a two-day total of 616 (+40), while Young Harris finished third (624, +48). Belmont Abbey's Kaitlyn Gribbon took home the top individual honor with a 146 (+2).
The Valkyries will be back in action on March 26-27 as they play in the Cherokee Valley Invitational hosted by North Greenville University.
