Comeback Bid Falls Short As Converse Finishes Second

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -  The Converse College golf team put forth a valiant effort during the final round of the Converse Final Invitational, but its comeback attempt fell one stroke short as the Valkyries (632) finished just behind Coker (631) for the team title. Pfeiffer's Meghan Holbrooks shot a two-day total of 147 (+3) to take home Medalist honors.

Taylor Fisk shot a second round 78 (+6) to finish in 10th place overall. Grace Magera (82, +10) and Vienna Winalski (78, +6) placed 12th and 13th, respectively. Grace McEachern (85, +13) rounded came in a respectable tie for 14th, tying with teammate Marisa Kawabe (84, +12).
