Converse Golf Finishes Day One In Fifth

MELBOURNE, FLA. - The Converse Golf team battled to stay in fifth during the second round of the 54-hole Lady Panther Invitational hosted by Florida Institute of Technology on Monday afternoon.

After shooting a 324 team score in the opening round, Converse followed up with a 327 second round to finish the opening day of play with 651 total.

Miranda Juarez bounced back from an opening round 90 to shoot 80.  Juarez posted three birdies in the second round and finished her round with two of those birdies.

Marley Felthousen posted an 81 in the second round posting 11 pars.  Felthousen slid to a tie for 18th.

Ansley Vaughan carded an 82 in the second round going +2 on the front with two birdies.  Vaughan sits in 27th for the tournament.

Tyler Dawson rounded out the scoring in the second round with an 84.  Megan Dresser finished with an 87.  Dawson sits one stroke behind Vaughan, tied for 28th.


Converse wraps up their regular season play with the final round of the Lady Panther Invitational on Tuesday, April 11.  Play starts at 8:00am.
