Valkyries Golf Sit In Fifth After Opening Round In Florida

MELBOURNE, FLA. - The Converse Golf teams sits in fifth after the opening round of the Lady Panther Invitational hosted by Florida Institute of Technology on Monday.  Converse shot 324 to open the 54-hole tournament.

The tournament features No. 6 St. Leo, No. 7 Florida Tech, No. 8 Nova Southeastern, as well as, No. 2 Seminole State (NJCAA) in the top-25 Golfstat rankings.

THE SCORECARDS

Marley Felthousen led the Valkyries in the first round with a score of 76 (+4) posting two birdies.  Felthousen is tied for 9th.

Tyler Dawson posted a round of 82 with two birdies and is tied for 25th.

Megan Dresser picks up eight pars on the front nine with a round total of 83. Dresser is tied for 28th.

Ansley Vaughan carded an 83 with a birdie in the opening round. Vaughan picked up six pars on the back nine to sit in a tie for 28th with Dresser. Miranda Juarez rounds out the scoring for the Valkyries with a 90.

UP NEXT

Converse will look to move up the leaderboard in the second round of the Lady Panther Invitational continuing through 36 holes on Monday, April 10.  The final round of the tournament will conclude on Tuesday, April 11.
