Valkyries Golf Stay At Fourth In Final Round

SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The Converse golf team stayed put at fourth in the final round of the Converse Spring Invite by Founders FCU on Tuesday.  The Valkyries shot a final round 328.

Ansley Vaughan led the Valkyries shooting 79 in the final day to finish tied for second on the tournament.  Vaughan shot a tournament 155, which was one stroke behind the leader.  Vaughan made the all-tournament team.

Marley Felthousen finished off the tournament with a 79 to push inside the top ten with a ninth place finish.  Felthousen shot 159 for the tournament.

Alex Bruce shot a final round 84 while Tyler Dawson and Samantha McMillin shot 86 and 88 respectively to round out the scoring for the Valkyries.

The Converse 'B' team was led by Allie McCain after shooting a final round 88.  McCain shot a tournament 168.

Anderson University took the team victory shooting a final round score of 321.  Erskine's Krystal Schaus was the individual medalists.

Converse will participate in the Hilton Head Lakes Tournament on March 7-8.
