SALISBURY, N.C.- Converse was tripped up in the final round of the Patsy Rendleman Invitational hosted by Catawba on Tuesday. The Valkyries slipped to 10th in the standings after firing a 336 in the round.
Tyler Dawson (Woodstock, Ga.) led the Valkyries for the second straight day after finishing in the top-ten at 10th with a final round 77 to go with her opening round 77.
Marley Felthousen (Kitty Hawk, N.C.) stayed consitent shooting an 83 much like the first round. Felthousen finished tied for 38th along with teammate Allie McCain (Lancaster, S.C.). McCain dropped some strokes in the final round with a round of 88.
Grace Magera (San Diego, Calif.) improved in the final round by five strokes shooting an 88.
Samantha McMillin (Inman, S.C.) who shot 80 in the opening round withdrew from competition.
Converse will look to rebound as the Valkyries play in the Wofford Invitational at the Spartanburg Country Club, October 19-20.
