HIGH POINT, N.C. - Conference Carolinas announced the 45 student-athletes named to the Men's and Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference Teams today. The conference and its member institutions stress the importance of "Academics and Athletics Working Together" and the student-athletes on each Academic All-Conference team exemplify this commitment.
The 45 student-athletes listed below were named to the 2016 Conference Carolinas Men's and Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference Teams for maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester. Academic All-Conference Teams are comprised of juniors and seniors who play in at least one of Conference Carolina's twenty sponsored sports, and who have attened their member institution for at least one academic year.
Converse's Kassidy Moorhouse has been named Conference Carolinas All-Academic for the second time. Moorhouse wrapped up her playing career on Friday for the Purple and Gold.
