Valkyries Quest For NCATA National Championship Begins

ERIE, Pa. – After months of training and preparation packaged with a rigorous regular season schedule, the Converse College Acrobatics and Tumbling Team will begin its quest for the NCATA National Championship this evening when it takes on three-time defending national champion, Baylor. The teams are scheduled to take the mat at 5 p.m. at the Hammermill Center on the campus of Gannon University.

Converse becomes the first inaugural team since the field went to the top-8 teams to earn an invitation to the National Championships. On the season the Valkyries went 4-4 with key two key wins over King University, who finished just outside the championship bracket. The Valkyries were eighth in overall scoring with a 264.6 meet average.
