SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Freshman top/tumbler Breana Clarke added to her stellar season with another NCATA Freshman of the Week plaudit.

Clarke helped the Valkyries notch a season-high 277.44 against Azusa Pacific. The freshman notched a 9.5 or above in eight heats out of 13, including a season-best 9.70 out of a 9.95 start value in the aerial pass. Clarke helped the Valkyries score a 9.65 in five-element acro, seven-element acro, synchronized pyramid and open pyramid, adding a 9.5 in open toss and a meet-high 9.85 in compulsory toss.

She followed that up with a brilliant performance against King University on Thursday, April 11, leading the Valkyries to a dominant 269.130-243.950. The win puts the Valkyries even at 4-4 on the season.
