SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Freshman Breana Clarke of the Converse Acrobatics and Tumbling team has been named the NCATA Freshman of the Week as announced by the league on Wednesday, March 21. This is Clarke's second plaudit of the season.
Clarke helped the Valkyries score a win over Georgetown as Converse logged season-best event scores in compulsory (36.9), pyramid (29.35), toss (27.5) and tumbling (53.45). Clarke helped the Valkyries to a 9.85 in compulsory toss and a 9.5 in quad tumbling, nailing a heat with a 9.5 start value.
Clarke is still the only member of an inaugural team this season to earn recognition from the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association. Clarke is the only athlete to be honored in some capacity every meet by the NCATA. Listed below are all of Clarke's accomplishments for the year:

The Valkyries will be back in action on Saturday, March 24 as they travel west to go head-to-head against Azusa Pacific University. That meet is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. EST.
