Valkyries Set to Debut In Top-10

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse College Acrobatics and Tumbling team finds itself in the top-10 of the country during the initial preseason rankings as released by the league office this afternoon. The highest-ranked program among the four teams debuting this February, Converse will face a full schedule with matchups against Baylor, Fairmont State, Gannon and King on the horizon.

"I believe we are going to have a solid first-year, said first-year coach Keegan Johnson. My goal is to be as competitive as possible throughout our first season and continue to progress each meet. When we first received our schedule, we knew this would be a challenging year, especially with all of our meets being against well-established teams. My main desire for this team is to perform to the best of their abilities and ensure they compete clean events each time they go out on the mat."

The Valkyries open the season on Sunday, February 11 as they travel to Bristol, Tenn. to face off against King University. The meet is set to begin at 2 p.m.
